VERMES, Alex (Sandor, Shlomo). Lovingly called into G-D's arms on the Sabbath, June 17, 2000, following a lengthy illness, heroically fought. Son of the late Armin and the late Janka. Beloved brother of the late Ilona Kovacs. Devoted and adoring husband of fifty-three years of Catherine. Cherished, honored father and hero of Miriam and second father of Sandy. Profound thanks to Dr. Doris Steg, Dr. Eva and team in the I. C. U. of the St. Mary's Hospital. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon West, on Monday, June 19 at 1 pm Burial at the New Memorial Park Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva at his residence from 1:00 - 6:00 pm Donations in his memory to the Holocaust Memorial Center, would be greatly appreciated. |
