KAUFMAN, Toby Peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Saturday, May 14, 2016, at the age of eighty-six. Predeceased by his loving wife of fifty-nine years, Lina Cassuto. Beloved father and father-in-law of Daniella and Philip (Green), Carol Ann and Stephen (Mills). Toby leaves behind many friends and family around the world who will remember him, his strength, goodness and sense of humour with great affection. He was a wonderful father. Our sincere thanks to the wonderful staff at Four Elms and ValleyView in Toronto, and the many people we worked with at the CCAC. Special thanks to his caregivers who helped him maintain his dignity and sense of humour: Beth Cytryn and Maria in Montreal for understanding the complexities of this disease, Jennifer (Paramed), Jennie and Kharen. Sincere gratitude to the staff of the Alzheimer Groupe (A.G.I.) for always being there to answer our questions, and to Dr. Ruby Friedman of the Jewish General Hospital for treating our father with such compassion, and who, together with Enid and Donna, supported us over the years. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Friday, May 20 at 10:00 a.m. Burial at Memorial Park Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva at Ruby Foo's Hotel, Room Shanghai AB, Friday from 11:30 to 17:00.
