SZMUK, Elisabet. Beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, died in her sleep on April 19, 2007 at the age of ninety-two. A Holocaust survivor and loving matriarch to an extended family, she is survived by her daughter Kati Gottlieb and son-in-law Ben, son Peter Stone and daughter-in-law Rosa; sister Magdolna Hercz; grandchildren Dorit Silver and Avi Gottlieb, Tammy Stone and Debbie Keller, Gaby Shaked and Michal Gefen, as well as ten great-grandchildren. She will always be in their hearts. The family sincerely thanks her caregiver Agnes Kramer for her devoted service. Graveside service at The Baron de Hirsch Cemetery, Memorial Park section, in Montreal, on Sunday, April 22, at 1 p.m. Shiva in Toronto. Donations may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer's Society of Canada. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Paperman & Sons. |
