Obituary Peacefully, on Saturday, August 14, 2021 (Shabbat) in his ninety-fifth year. Beloved husband of the late Maryse Malka for sixty-eight years. Loving and devoted father and father-in-law of Ann-Margaret and Dan Sequerra, and Alain-Philippe Malka. Cherished “Pappi” of Olivier, Cedric and Amanda and Jade and Trevor Romoff. Proud great-grandfather of Zoë, Liam and Ava. Predeceased by his siblings, Isaac, Haim, David, Joseph, Rachel, Simone and Perla. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Julie, and Solange, Zarie, Rachel and Simon Abitbol, Jacob Bitton, Messod Amar, Perla Malka and Freha Malka.

Founder of the Communauté Sépharade du Québec, his work, devotion and love for his community will always be remembered. Elias will be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews, family and all those whose lives he touched. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at Maimonides Geriatric Centre for their care and compassion.
