Cherished grandmother of Gabrielle and Michelle Cadieux, the late Amanda Blondon; Esther, Hannah and Luke Brahmi. Dear sister of Sylvia Levy and predeceased by her siblings, Jacques, Albert, Elo, Rachel, Élise, Perla, Rebecca and Celine. She also leaves behind many cousins, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

Anita was a force of nature. She was strong, brave, kind and caring for everyone around her. She would do anything for those she loved. Which were many. Born in Casablanca Morocco, she lived in France and Israel before settling in Montréal. She worked and then owned and operated La Joconde Coiffure in Town of Mount Royal for many years. She deeply touched the lives of her employees and customers. She cared deeply for her family and always brought them together. She will be sadly missed and her memory will live on in the hearts of all those whose lives she touched so deeply.

Many thanks to her caregiver of the last few years Olga Modi, her helpers Tania and Rita, as well as her previous companions over the years Claire, Irene Rafnaan, Ofelia Galigo. Special thanks to the outstanding staff of 4C Hope Pavilion at the Jewish Eldercare, Suzanne, Gregory, Lorraine, Dr. Earl Edelstein. We are very thankful for the excellent care she received in her final days from the team in the Covid unit on 10K of the Jewish General Hospital, nurses, Rea, Cassandra, Grace, and Doctors Jamie Avrith, Jennifer Friedmann and Gill Pencer.

A private graveside service will take place. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Miriam Foundation, (514) 345-1300, or the Jewish Hospital of Hope Eldercare Foundation, (514) 738-4500, ext. 2124.
