| Obituary | Peacefully, in the presence of his loving family, on Monday, August 18, 2025, at the age of ninety-three. Beloved husband of the late Dr. Sheila Gelber for sixty-five years. Devoted father and father-in-law of Allan and Wendy Gelber, Geoffrey Gelber and Isabelle Benoit-Gelber, Derek Arthur and dear friend Gwynne Schwartz. Cherished Grandpa of Casey and Zack, Kara and Ben, Danielle; and Jérémie. Proud great-grandfather of Haley and Ashley. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Carl and Riva Gelber, the late Jessica and the late William I. (Bill) Miller; and brother-in-law of Clarice and the late William-Paul Warren, the late Evelyn and the late Harold Ashley. Son of the late Sadie and the late David Gelber. Nahum will be fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, family, friends and community. Heartful thanks to Carmelita, Carmen, Jasmin and Rose for their exceptional care and devotion.
Funeral service at Congregation Shaar Hashomayim, 120 Côte St. Antoine Road, Westmount, on Thursday, August 21, at 3 p.m. Burial at Congregation Shaar Hashomayim Cemetery, 1250 ch. de la Forêt, Outremont. Shiva at 2 Westmount Square.
