Peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Thursday, October 31, 2024. Beloved son of Irving and the late Maria Luise. Devoted father and father-in-law of Karen and Robert Spevack, Barbara and Josh Denes, Michelle and Blair Johnson, Justin and Vicky Kaufman. Cherished Zaida of Kimberly, and Jordan Spevack; Matthew, and Ryan Denes; Megan, and Branden Johnson; Timeo Bessa-Hummitzsch, and Lio Kaufman. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Judy and Meyer Nudel, and Stephen Kaufman. Max will be sadly missed by his nieces, nephews, family, friends, and by Nancy Weiss. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Sunday, November 3 12:00 noon. Burial at Congregation Shaar Hashomayim Cemetery, 1250 ch. de la Forêt. Shiva at his home, Sunday following burial until 5:00 p.m. and from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., and Monday through Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. daily, continuing in Toronto at his daughter Karen’s home on Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., and Friday from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Donations in Max’s memory may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada, (514) 938-4515. |
