It is with deep sadness that we announce Mona's peaceful passing on Sunday, February 11, 2024, at the age of seventy-nine. Beloved wife of the late Alan. Cherished mother and mother-in-law of Heidi Besner and Noah Milrod, Mitchell Besner and Keren Dudescu. Proud Nana of Jack and Beau Milrod; Stella, Coco, and Bowie Besner. Devoted sister and sister-in-law of Glenda Mayov and the late Stanley Greenstein; and sister-in-law of David and Edye Besner, and the late Raymond Besner. Mona will be deeply missed by her nieces, nephews, family, and all who knew her. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Wednesday, February 14 at 11:00 a.m. Burial at Congregation Shaar Hashomayim Cemetery, 1250 ch. de la Forêt, Outremont. Shiva at the Hilton Garden Inn: 6939 Décarie Blvd., Montreal, Wednesday following burial until 9:00 p.m., Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., and Friday from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Donations in Mona's memory may be made to the Jewish General Hospital Foundation, (514) 340-8251. |
