Peacefully with dignity and courage on Monday, December 24, 2001. Beloved husand and best friend of Sylvia. Devoted father and father-in-law of Ellen and Samphe, Joel and Ruth. Cherished Zaida of Pema, James, Isabel and Allegra. Brother of the late Rosalie Shapiro, dear brother-in-law of Ben and Lilly Waxman, and Rita and the late Louis Siegel. He will be sadly missed by his nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon West, on Thursday December 27, 2001 at 2:30 p.m. Burial at the Shaar Hasomayim Congregation Cemetery, Mount Royal. Shiva private. Donations can be made in his memory to Mackay Centre, 3500 Decarie, Montreal, Qc, where Ben loved volunteering for many years. Thanks to the nursing staff and orderlies of 6 West at the Jewish General Hospital for their kindness and compassion. |
