On Saturday, June 24, 2023, in his ninety-fifth year. Dear husband of Jeanne Hébert. Beloved father and father-in-law of Rayna Gelber Moise and Cedric Hanley, Elayne and Bill Roskin, Charles Gelber and Alissa Kerner, Joanne Gelber, the late Marla Gelber, and the late Cheryl Gelber. Cherished grandfather of Sacha and Sara Moise, Micha Moise; Jennifer Weinstein, Taylor Weinstein and Justin Green, Brody Weinstein and fiancée Dalia Bouzaglo; Noah, Dylan, Callie and Morgan Gelber; Maxwell and Simon Gelber. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Aaron and Judi Gelber, Eleaizer Gelber and Donna Smith, Robert and the late Bleema Libman, the late Laya and the late David Kwinter, the late Shirley and the late Mike Rosenschein, the late Ray and the late Murray Zuckerman; and brother-in-law of Marcel and Alma Hébert, Jenny and the late Marc Hébert. Son of the late Nathan and the late Sylvia Gelber. Son-in-law of Emma and the late Marcel Hébert. Predeceased by the mother of his children, Frances Gelber. Isaac will be deeply missed by Connie Gelber, Gail Gelber, his nieces, nephews, family and all who knew him. Heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Keith Todd and to Isaac's caregiver, Augustine Murphy, for their care, kindness and devotion. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Monday, June 26 at 11:00 a.m. Burial at Congregation Shaar Hashomayim Cemetery, 1250 ch. de la Forêt. Shiva at 6111 av. du Boisé (reception room) Monday following burial until 4:00 p.m. and from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Tuesday through Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. daily.
