Peacefully, on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, after a long life well lived, at the age of 106. Mom was loved and will be greatly missed by her daughters, Ninette and Claudie, her grandchildren, Julio Guisado Rawas, Esty Grossman, Maxine Grossman (Justin Colavincenzo), and Sam Grossman; Kristofer Laing (Kelly Solti), and Erin Laing (David Todaro); and great-grandchildren, Julio, Dominic, Oliver, Noah, Mia, and Calvin; her brother Edouard and sister-in-law Sheila, by her many nieces and nephews too numerous to name, and by her cousin, Claude Rouben (Ida Rouben).
She will be warmly remembered by Michael Grossman and Stephen Laing. Mom was predeceased by her husband, Isaac, her daughter, Liliane, her brothers, Ezekiel, Gamil, and Maurice; her sisters-in-law, Cely, Rachel, and Simone; and, on the Rawas side, Albert and Edith Rawas, Victor and Lena Rawas.
With immense gratitude, we thank Veronica and Elias for the love, compassion, and care that they have brought to our mom for the past eleven years of her life. Le disteis felicidad y amor sin medida. Vosotros sois los verdaderos angeles. Thanks also to Wegahta, who stepped in recently with grace and elegance to become a regular member of Mom's team of caregivers, and, from the 3rd floor nursing staff at Reseau Selection of Nun's Island, to Mina, always attentive to Mom's needs.
Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Friday, December 23 at 10:00 a.m. Burial at Congregation Shaar Hashomayim Cemetery, 1250 ch. de la Foret. Shiva strictly private. |
