Peacefully at home, on Saturday, April 6, 2024. Devoted wife of Herman Luger for seventy-two years. Devoted mother and mother-in-law of Susan and Brad Treusch, Sherry and Michael Mikelberg. Cherished Bubby of Maren and Harlan, and Justin; Jamie, Bobby, Lisa and Daniel, and Jesse. Proud great-grandmother of Dash; Mila and Noah. Inseparable twin sister and sister-in-law of the late Mary and the late Louis Libenson, and sister-in-law of Miriam and the late Sol, the late Mendel and the late Florence. Sylvia will be fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Special thanks to Juliet, Julie, Jedalyn, and Bintou who filled her last years with music, joy, love, and devotion; and to the homecare team of CLSC Metro for their exceptional care. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Monday, April 8 at 10:00 a.m. Burial at Congregation Shaar Hashomayim Cemetery, 1250 ch. de la Forêt.
