The family of Doris is sad to announce her passing on Monday, March 6, 2023, at the blessed age of one hundred and two. Dearly beloved and loving wife of the late Harry. Cherished mother and mother-in-law of Donna and Stanley Messer, Dulcie Naimer and Henry Mintzberg, Richard and Tammy Evin. Proud grandmother of Elana and Shawn, Leora and Albert, and Tova; Lorraine and David, Gavin and Michelle, Karen and Jeremy; Michael, Mark and Alizah, and Daniel. Loving great-grandmother of Josh, Benji and Rachel; Nicole, Jack, and Drew; Jonah, and Ezra; Dalia; Paul and Joss. Daughter of the late Harris and the late Zelda Aber. Predeceased by her siblings and their spouses, Bill and Rose Aber, Anne Aber, Sylvia and Moris Rottenberg; Sadie and Dave Gelber. Special aunt, great-aunt and great great-aunt of many nieces and nephews. Sadly remembered by Gordon Naimer. The family would like to acknowledge with great gratitude Marivic for her exceptional care, kindness and devotion which helped to enrich Doris’ quality of life. Shiva following burial until 9:00 p.m. at the Courtyard by Marriott Montreal Midtown, Salle Vezina, 2nd Floor, 6787 Decarie Blvd, Montreal, continuing at Dulcie’s home Wednesday and Thursday 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Friday 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Saturday 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., and Sunday 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Donations in her memory may be made to the Jewish General Hospital Foundation, (514) 340-8251. |
