EVIN, Harry (Herzl). On Thursday, April 20, 2000, surrounded by his loving family. Dearly beloved and loving husband of Doris Aber. Cherished father and father-in-law of Donna and Stanley Messer of Highland and Park, New Jersey, Dulcie Naimer and Gordon Namier, and Richard and Tammy Evin. Cherished grandfather of Elana, Leora, and Tova Messer of Highland and Park, New Jersey, and Lorraine and David Bloom of Toronto, Gavin Naimer and Michelle Stricker, and Karen Naimer of Toronto, Michael, Mark, and Daniel Evin. Loving great-grandfather of Joshua and Benjamin Bloom. Dear brother of the late Sadye Evin Gelber. Admired special uncle, great-uncle, and great-great-uncle of many nieces and nephews. Our many thanks for the exceptional care, kindness, and thoughtfulness of the staff of the 8th floor West of St. Luc Hospital (Chum), and especially his compassionate surgeon, Dr. Carole Richard. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon West, on Sunday, April 23, at 2:30 pm Burial at the Shaar Hashomayim Congregation Cemetery, Mount Royal Blvd. Due to the festival of Passover, Shiva will commence on Thursday evening, April 27.
