Evelyn Harriet Chubby TAIGER TOLCHINSKY (1935 - 2024)

Beloved and devoted wife of the late Hyman (Hy) who passed away a short four months ago. Cherished and loving mother and mother-in-law of Nancy and Harry Bloomfield, Elyse and Dany Battat, Andrea Tolchinsky-Meyers and Andy Meyers.

Proud and adoring Mummer and Grandma of Jon and Kim Bloomfield, Dr. Andrew Bloomfield, James Bloomfield; Sarah Battat, Sophie Battat; Lily Meyers, and Nathan Meyers. Blessed to have spent her last minutes with her precious great grandson Jordan Bloomfield.

Daughter of the late Martin and the late Pauline Taiger. Treasured sister of Sheldon Taiger, the late Henza Koenig (the late Morton); and sister-in-law of Roslyn Schmeltzer (the late Allan), the late Nellie Glickman (the late Morris). An extraordinary aunt to her many nieces and nephews and their families.

Funeral service from Paperman and Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W. on Wednesday, January 31, at 12:00 pm. Burial at the Congregation Shaar Hashomayim Cemetery, 1250 Chemin de la Forêt, Outremont. Shiva at her home, 74 Summit Crescent, Westmount, Wednesday following burial until 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Thursday 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Saturday 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Sunday and Monday 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Evening services at 7:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Hope and Cope, ℅ Jewish General Hospital Foundation, (514) 340-8251, where she loved the time she spent volunteering.
