BARKOFF, Babette (nee Silberstein) "Bobbie" passed away peacefully, in her own home, on Sunday, November 7, 2010, at the age of ninety-seven, after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. Born in New York City, she moved to Montreal in 1938 to marry [the late] Edward, her husband of nearly fifty years. She will be deeply missed by her son Arnold (Vita) and daughter Victoria. Nana/Blabby will live on in the memory of her four grandchildren, Matthew (fiancee Sherri), Zarya, Joshua (Jill) and Talya (Nick), and her six nieces and nephews. A special thanks to Kay Tewari for her loving care over the years and to the many caregivers who have assisted her along the way. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Wednesday, November 10 at 1 p.m. Burial at Congregation Shaar Hashomayim Cemetery, 1250 ch. de la Foret. |
