With dignity, on Sunday, September 22, 2019, surrounded by his loving family. Devoted husband of Rina Shapsay for fifty-three years. Treasured father and father-in-law of Heidi and Irwin Taiger. Proud and adoring Zaida of Bradley, Chelsea, and Hailey. Dearest brother and brother-in-law of Sam and Sandi Bercovitch, Claire and the late Irving Bercovitch; and brother-in-law of Adeline Shapsay, Judy and Joe Marmor, Barbara Shapsay, the late Doris and the late George Litman. He will be deeply missed by his nieces, nephews, friends, family and by all who knew and loved him. Special thanks to Azzi for her exceptional care, compassion and devotion. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean-Talon St. W., on Wednesday, September 25 at 12:00 noon. Burial at Montreal Worker's Circle Section, Kehal Israel Cemetery, D.D.O. Shiva at 192 Rue Schubert, D.D.O., Wednesday following burial until 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Evening services at 7:30 p.m. Due to the advent of Rosh Hashanah, shiva ends Friday morning.
