With courage, surrounded by her family, on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 (Av 27), at the age of sixteen. Adored daughter of Marshall and Sarit. Best friend and sister of Hadar, and role model to Maya. Cherished granddaughter of Zehava and the late Avraham Levi of Israel, Susan Sassoon, Ted Duskes and Denyse L’Anglais. Fun loving niece of Adam and Heidi, Robert, Jessica and Jonathan, Yaniv, Gili and Joanna. Shani will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by Marla and Stuart, her aunts and uncles, many cousins, dear friends and by all who had the good fortune to know her. The family wishes to acknowledge with sincerest gratitude Dr. David Mitchell, and the nurses and staff of Oncology at the Montreal Children’s Hospital for their exceptional care and devotion. Special thanks to Chai Lifeline for always putting a smile on Shani’s face. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Sunday, September 1 at 12:00 noon. Burial at the Farband Labour Zionist Organization Section, Kehal Israel Cemetery, D.D.O. Shiva at 56 Roger-Pilon, D.D.O., from 1:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. daily.
