Schmerer, Issie Irving Peacefully, on Thursday, August 28, 2014. Beloved husband of the late Betty Roseman, and the late Myra Rabinovitch. Loving father and father-in-law of Hiram and Sheri, and Sarah. Proud and cherished Zaidie of Matthew and Michael. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Selma (Simi) and Alvin (Al) Tobias, the late Mildred Schmerer, Bert and Myrna, the late Leona and the late Henry. Special cousin of Hinda and Morris Packard and family. He will be sadly missed by his nieces, nephews, family and friends. Special thanks to Aster, the staff of the Maxwell Residence, and the 8th floor Acute Geriatric Unit at the Royal Victoria Hospital. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Sunday, August 31 at 2 p.m. Burial at the Beth Ora Congregation Section, Kehal Israel Cemetery, D.D.O. Shiva at his daughter's home, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. daily through Thursday evening.
