Obituary Peacefully, in Toronto, on Wednesday, January 15, 2020, in her ninetieth year. Devoted wife of the late Richard. Beloved mother and mother-in-law of Irwin and Mira Rubin of Los Angeles, Howard Rubin and Patricia Chorney Rubin of Toronto, Marla-Ann Rubin of Toronto. Cherished grandmother of Stephanie Rubin and Andrew Wolch, Jennifer Rubin, Steven and Michelle Rubin; Jonathan Rubin and Marni Wolf, Joshua Rubin and Margarita Makarova; and Jackson Pedvis. Proud great-grandmother of Riley and Bennett Wolch; Hudson and Saul Rubin. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Jacob and the late Dr. Lucy Szepetynski of Tel Aviv, Barbara and the late Norman Goodman, and sister-in-law of Joyce and Hy Goldfarb. Predeceased by Richard’s sisters and their spouses, Esther and Alfred Leszcynski, Bluma and Zalman Anders, Evelyn and Gershon Leszcynski, Charlotta and Binyamin Mishori. Loving aunt of Hana and Roni Rotem of Tel Aviv, Clifford Goodman and Sharin Froman; and great-aunt of Guy, Roee and Bar Rotem of Tel Aviv. Rita will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew and loved her. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Sunday, January 19 at 11:00 a.m. Burial at the Beit Abraham Family Estates Section, Kehal Israel Cemetery, D.D.O.
