cy Rafla (Nee Ammar)
Grecy Ammar Rafla - Born Cairo, Egypt. Peacefully at home on Friday December 10, 2021, at the age of eighty-six. Grecy was known for her love of her family, her generosity of spirit, her beautiful warm smile, her sense of humour and her infectious laughter. She had a flair for fashion, a passion for cooking which she expressed through her taste for refined clothes and delicious home cooked Middle Eastern meals. Her heart of gold touched all who knew her. She will be deeply missed. May her memory be a blessing and source of love for all of us.
Beloved daughter of Haroun Massoud Ammar and Nazira Levy, mother of Joseph Rafla and Myriam Rafla, and beloved mother-in-law of David Racek. Dear sister of Felix, Jacques, Maurice and Joseph Ammar, wife of Mounir Helmy Rafla and sister-in-law of Samir (Ann Marie), Nabil (Amel), Nabila (Alfonse), Amal (Latife), late Samira (late Jeremy) and Nadia Rafla. Aunt to Nicette (Tibor), Juliette, Gabby, Roseanne, Nessia, Claudine (Bruno) and Marcus Ammar, and George and Dahlia (Chris), Heba, Magdy (Patti), Amy, Amir, Karim (Rania), Sherif and Rami (Leah).
