Obituary Of Bedford, Halifax (formerly of Montreal) Beloved Wife of Harry Salem. After a very courageous battle Anita passed away peacefully with her loving son Eric by her side. Anita was the one person everyone called for guidance and everyone loved her wisdom and devotion to her family.

Living in Halifax proved challenging living away from those she yearned to hold close as well as missed the vibrance and warmth of the Montreal Jewish Community. When Harry became ill, she courageously fought tooth and nail to ensure that he would live a carefree life of happiness and dignity. Anita brought him back to life so that they could enjoy their retirement days together. Her tenacity & dedication to her family was her priority.

Anita graduated from Sir George Williams University with a B.FA displaying her artistic talent that showed great promise. Anita continued her education to become a Family Life Educator/Social worker & devoted many years with Jewish Family Services in Montreal. She had a deep understanding of those around her and always tried to find viable solutions to ease anyone's suffering. She was well read and well versed in politics, and enjoyed her leisure time with crossword puzzles, easily completing them.

She is survived by her sisters, sister-in-law, Frances Ludmer, Susan Hermelin (Henry) and Selma Greenberg (the late Stanley Ludmer). Nieces and nephews, Harold, (Junghyun) Ian (Shiri), Avi,(Taoba) Michelle (Jordan) Moti (Amy), Yaakov (Marie), Sarah & the late Raymond.

She enjoyed catching up on the lives of her great niece & nephews, Aiden & Jacob, Sean, Asher & Avery, Isaac & Gabriel.

With thanks to the staff at the QEII Hospital, Halifax, for their heroic efforts filled with caring and compassion. Special thank you to the family caregiver, Inna whom Anita was very fond of for her tireless efforts and devotion.

Donations can be made to the charity of your choice. Shiva strictly private. Funeral arrangements entrusted by Paperman & Sons, Montreal, Quebec.

She will be deeply missed as her death leaves a void in the family as our matriarch.
