It is with sadness that the Sonnenschein family announces the passing of Beverly due to cancer. She leaves behind her daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie Sonnenschein and Frank Verpaelst of Montreal, and son and daughter-in-law Harley Sonnenschein and Stephanie Soifer of Ottawa, their father Samuel of D.D.O., her wonderful grandchildren Annika; Julianna, Alexander and Sarah. Beverly is predeceased by her parents Harry and Anne Firestone of Winnipeg, Manitoba. After her children grew up, Beverly earned her bachelor's in psychology with Honours from Concordia and volunteered at the Douglas Hospital making a positive difference in a lot of peoples' lives. Later in life, her love of literature led her back to Concordia to pursue her passion in literature and writing, even though she struggled with ill health for many years.
