With deepest sorrow, we announce that our beloved Jay Ruckenstein, age 52, passed away on Saturday, August 1, 2020.
Loving husband of Anne Franco Ruckenstein. Devoted father of Calenne and Aiden. Cherished son of Mickey and Fran Ruckenstein, endeared son-in-law of Grace and Humberto Franco. Sweetest brother of Tracey and Robyn, as well as Elliott, Irving, Mike, Hubert, Harold, and Vanessa. Treasured uncle of Ricky, Justin and Alexie, Stephanie and Andrew, Michelle and Charles, Joshua and Simone, Anthea, Eitan, and Aaron. Loved dearly by his cousins, aunts and uncles, extended family, and the many friends whose lives he touched.
Charismatic, brilliant, loving, and kind, Jay lived fully and loved deeply. He was an explorer of ideas and places who always sought a greater understanding of the world and people around him. That is what made his soul such an adventurous one. Those who knew Jay, even just a little, shared in his shining light.
