Obituary Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, after a courageous battle bravely fought, in his eighty-ninth year on Thursday, January 10, 2002. Beloved husband of Jennie Ankin. Cherished father and father-in-law of Doris and Al. Loving Poppy of Ian, Lorne and Margaret; Andrea; and great-granddaughters. Dear brother and brother-in-law of David and Sarah Rappaport, Sam Kashner, Helen Rappaport, Stella Kasvan. Predeceased by his siblings Etta, Mike, Jack, Moe, Louis and Sarah. Survived by many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank doctors Bercovitch, Davidman, Lipman, Dworkind, Hendry and Graves; social worker Pina D'Orve and all nurses and staff of the Dialysis Unit and 3 Northwest of the Jewish General Hospital; Bryan Highbloom for his friendship and support; Fritz and Claudette of the CLSC St. Laurent; and to Constantine who made sure he got to and from dialysis. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon West on Sunday, January 13 at 1 p.m. Burial at the Beit Abraham Congregation Section, Kehal Israel Cemetery, Sources Road, Dollard des Ormeaux.
