DECKELBAUM, George Peacefully at home on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 in his ninety-fourth year. Beloved husband of Edie for sixty-four years. Devoted father and father-in-law of Dr. Lawrence and Lois Deckelbaum, Debbie and Alan Shragie. Cherished grandfather of Amy Deckelbaum, Alan Deckelbaum and Beth Zweig; Joshua Shragie and Frederique Simon, and Jessica Shragie. Dear brother and brother-in-law of the late Sylvia Brotman, Eleanor and the late Morty Deckelbaum, and brother-in-law of Liliane and the late Sam Aberman, the late Roz Anisman, Gloria and the late Dr. Teddy Shiff, and Dr. Arnold and Barbara Aberman. George will be greatly missed by his nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Special thanks to Ellen, Rose, Yeng Yeng and Brenda Lee for their compassionate care and devotion. Funeral service from Paperman and Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W on Sunday, September 9 at 11:00 a.m. Burial at the Shaare Zion Congregation Section, Eternal Gardens Cemetery, Beaconsfield.
