FLEMING, Helen (Tafler)
Peacefully, our Valentine forever, Thursday, February 14, 2013. Beloved wife of 67.5 years to the late Abe Fleming. Devoted and loving Mother and Mother-in-law of Frances and Morton Ross of Nepean, Ontario, and the late Daniel (Stephanie White Loerick). Cherished grandmother of Keith & Anne Fleming, Jonathan & Jessie-Sierra Ross, Jesse & Kathleen Fleming and Elizabeth & Marc Jacobs. Great-grandmother of: Madeleine, Cora, Lillian, Miriam, Talia, Caleb, Alexander, Benjamin, Abrianna and Rogan. Predeceased by her five siblings, Louis Tafler (Frances), Mary Shapiro Kantor (Sam), Moe Tafler, (Dorothy Sailor), Bea Davis Socaransky, (Abe), Abe Tafler, (Sarah). Helen was loved by her immediate family, her nieces and nephews, their families and her many friends. We are grateful to have had her in Ottawa during her last years. Special thanks to the caring and wonderful staff at Hillel Lodge. A graveside funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 17, 2013 at 3PM at the Shaare Zion Congregation Section, Eternal Gardens Memorial, 30 Elm Avenue, Beaconsfield, Quebec. Shiva will be held in Ottawa, at 1 Sundance Court, Nepean from 2 to 4 PM and 7:30 to 9 PM Monday, February 18, through Thursday, February 21 and Friday between 1:00 and 3:00 PM.
