MAGIL, Doris (nee Stein)
Peacefully, on Thursday, August 29, 2013 on the eve of her ninety-second birthday. Cherished wife of the late Bill Magil. Beloved mother and mother-in-law of David and Debbie, Richard, and the late Michelle (Carl Goldman). Cherished Bubby of Rachelle, and Ilana Magil; Miriam, and Michael Goldman. Proud great-grandmother of Curtis and Theo. Dear sister-in-law of Helen Mogul. Predeceased by her brothers Mark Stein and Nathan Stein, sister Clara Stein, brothers-in-law Lou Magil and Irving Magil, sisters-in-law Rachel Saxe and Bernice Rosen. A favourite aunt to many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews. She will be sadly missed by her many dear friends. The family extends thanks to her devoted caregivers Linda, Loida and Analyn, and to our Montreal cousins Norman and Nina Stein who provided so much love and support. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean-Talon St. W., on Tuesday, September 3 at 11:00 a.m. Burial at the Shaare Zedek Congregation Section, Eternal Gardens Cemetery, Beaconsfield. Shiva to be announced, due to the advent of Rosh Hashanah, Shiva ends on Tuesday evening. Contributions in her memory may be made to the charity of your choice. |
