BROWN, Rachel (nee Pomerantz)
Peacefully, with her loving daughter by her side, on Saturday, September 19, 2015, in her ninety-fifth year. Beloved wife of the late Louis. Devoted and much loved mother of Gloria. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Edith and the late Harold Cohen, the late Rose and the late David Comm, the late Phil and the late Ida Pomerantz, Lorraine and the late Morris Pomerantz, Sarah and the late Joe Pomerantz, Herb and the late Betty Lindenbaum, the late Ben Pomerantz, the late Saul and the late Alice Pomerantz; and sister-in-law of the late Elsie Rabinovitch and the late Hyman Brown. Ray will be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Special thanks to her devoted caregivers, Sonia, Agatha, Aimee and Anik, and to the staff of the Waldorf for their supportive assistance. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Monday, September 21 at 12:15 p.m. Burial at the Shaare Zedek Congregation Section, Eternal Gardens Cemetery, Beaconsfield. Shiva the Waldorf Residence: 7400 ch de la Cote-Saint-Luc. Due to the advent of Yom Kippur, shiva ends Tuesday afternoon.
