SCHAFER, Melvin Harvey In Ottawa, on Saturday, December 5, 2009. Beloved husband of Brenda (Leiner) Schafer. Loving father of Karen Levine (Jason) and Heidi Levine (Mike). Dear brother of Marilyn and Ben Weksler of Houston, Texas, the late Sandra Schafer, the late Lenny and the late Buffy Schafer, and brother-in-law of Marvin and Marci Leiner. Son of the late Abraham and the late Anne Schafer. Son-in-law of Rita and Jack Leiner. He will be greatly missed by his niece, nephews, family and friends. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Tuesday, December 8 at 1:00 p.m. Burial at the Shaare Zedek Congregation Section, Eternal Gardens Cemetery, Beaconsfield. Shiva in Ottawa, commencing Wednesday at 95 Dalecroft Crescent, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. daily.
