LAZAR, Bertha (nee Jacobson)
On Thursday, May 2, 2013 at the age of one-hundred-and-two. Wife of the late Nathan Rubin, the late John Bloom, and the late Frank Lazar. Friend and companion of the late Irwin Moss. Beloved mother and mother-in-law of Judy and Sim Shek, Zachary and Myrna Rubin, and the late Marc Rubin. Treasured Bubbie of Miriam and Yaacov Neeman, Natana Shek Dor and Avi Dor, Elisa and Matthew Belzberg; Shira Rubin Handley, Aviva and Jonathan Schneider, Carmi and Zev Gitalis. Proud great-grandmother of Noa, Einav, Omer and Megan, Yarden, Stav, Lola, Ava, Nathan, Gabriella, Danielle, Joseph, Rubin, and Jasmine. Predeceased by her two sisters and five brothers. She will be lovingly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, family, and many dear friends. Special thanks to Naomi and Helen for their devotion, and the 4 North staff at Maimonides for their exceptional care. The family would like to acknowledge with sincerest gratitude Bertha's caregivers Janet, Nanette, and Charina. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean-Talon St. W., on Sunday, May 5 at 12:00 noon. Burial at the Shaare Zedek Congregation Section, Eternal Gardens Cemetery, Beaconsfield.
