DAVINE, Joel Barry
It is with great sadness that we announce his passing, after a valiant battle with cancer, on Sunday, September 2, 2012. Proud son of the late Rae and the late Ben Davine. He is survived by his adoring sister Linda Gottlieb and brother-in-law Bob, his wonderful niece Rachel and partner Colleen, his dear nephew Gary and wife Pam, his grand-niece and grand-nephew Courtney and Jeremy, and his special uncle Richard (Mickey) Davine. There are so many people to thank at this time, including his many friends and neighbours who were constantly at his side. You know who you are. A special thank you to cousin Rhona Rosenblatt whose care and compassion went above and beyond anything one could imagine. Another special thank you to the staff of the Palliative Care Unit at the Montreal General Hospital, including doctors Chaput, Gingras, Borod, and the outstanding nurses whom Joel loved and who loved him in return. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Tuesday, September 4, at 10:30 a.m. Burial at the Shaare Zedek Congregation Section, Eternal Gardens Cemetery, Beaconsfield.
