Obituary YAFFE, Betty (Rivke) (nee Workman). Betty's family shares her passing, in her ninety-third year, on Sunday, February 11, 2007. Cherished wife and stalwart partner of the late Leo. Loving, nurturing mother and mother-in-law of Mark and Phyllis Yaffe and Carla and Ronald Krasnick (Moorestown, New Jersey). Proud and devoted Bobe of Miriam Yaffe, Shelley Krasnick (Atlanta), and Alex Krasnick (State College, Pennsylvania). Loving sister of the late Eva Spiner and the late Brenda Workman. Dear sister-in-law of George Spiner, Pearl and the late Philip Yaffe (Winnipeg), Molly and the late Manuel Shaw (Los Angeles), and Rose and the late Harry Roth (West Bloomfield, Michigan). Fondly remembered by nieces and nephews across North America, including Carol and Seymour Posner (Montreal). A gentle woman of quiet wisdom, thoughtful spirit, and personal determination. Former teacher of Yiddish, and community volunteer within the Montreal Jewish community and McGill University. Deep appreciation to relatives, friends, and colleagues for their longstanding support, and to Dr. Paul Lysy and the health care teams at Chateau Westmount. The compassionate, devoted caregiving by Cecile St. Cyr, Thanira Kiry, Eman Awad, Pamela Bujwid, and Chrissoula Mavroukas is gratefully acknowledged. Funeral service from Paperman and Sons, 3888 Jean Talon West, on Tuesday, February 13 at 1 p.m. Burial at the Dorshei Emet Congregation Section, Eternal Gardens Cemetery, Beaconsfield. Shiva at 6005 Cavendish Blvd, # 207, Cote St. Luc.
