HOROWITZ, Syd On Monday, February 28, 2011. Devoted and loving husband of Evelyn. Cherished father and father-in-law of Arlene, Joanne and Gerry, Neil and Cynthia. Proud Zaidie Syd of Laura, Julia and Kayla. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Robert and Sylvia, and predeceased by his other siblings and their spouses, Sarah and Sol Guttman, Al and Hilda Harvey, and Harold Horowitz. Brother-in-law of Ida Fishman and Anna Horowitz. Survived by his many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff of the Dialysis Unit and 5 South at St. Mary's Hospital for their wonderful care. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Thursday, March 3 at 11 a.m. Burial at the Beth Zion Congregation Section, Eternal Gardens Cemetery, Beaconsfield. Shiva at 6005 Cavendish Blvd. #403, C.S.L., from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. daily. Donations in Syd's memory may be made to the Dialysis Fund c/o St. Mary's Hospital Foundation, (514) 734-2694.
