PHILLIPS, Sydney
On Tuesday, November 12, 2013. Beloved husband of the late Aida Babins. Loving father and father-in-law of Rhona and Ben Carniol, Jim and Ava (Bier) Phillips. Cherished Zaidie of Mira Carniol, Naomi Carniol and Brian Gabor, Matthew, and the late Nathan Phillips. Proud great-grandfather of Jonah. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Miriam and the late Larry Phillips of Toronto, Jeannette and the late Bernard Phillips. Predeceased by his other siblings and their spouses, Irving and Cecile, Elsie and Phil Dankner of Halifax, Joe and Ethel, Abraham, Adele and Harold Berman, Muriel and Myer Hershman, Phil and Roslyn. Sydney will be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, relatives and friends. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Thursday, November 14 at 12 noon. Burial at the Beth Zion Congregation, Eternal Gardens Cemetery, Beaconsfield. The family will be receiving visitors following burial at the Beth Zion Congregation. Shiva continuing in Toronto and Florida.
