Obituary With his loving family constantly by his side, after a long and courageous battle with Lewy Body dementia, on Monday, November 6, 2017. Most loving and devoted husband to the late Muriel Atkin. Much loved father and father-in-law of Carin and Brian Byer, Elaine and Ian Groper, Robert and Elizabeth, Nancy and Richard Rockman. Adored Poppy of Erin and Alex, Samara, David and Jamie, Joy and Adrienne, Corey, Tara and Devon, Noah, Jennifer, Jason, Adam, Jared, and Tyler, and next generation Jake, Oliver, Brooke, Carly, Spencer, Olivia, Cooper, Molly. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Norman and the late Rickie, the late Sally; and brother-in-law of Bonnie and Bill Herman, and Harriet Haroutunian. Loving son of the late Irving and the late Ida. Much loved uncle to his many nieces and nephews, and most beloved lifetime friend of Arlene and Sam Trager, Avi and Peter Shapiro, who were always there for him. A huge thank you to his wonderful companions, Anna, Stan, and Maliha. The loving care they provided and the laughter they brought him will never be forgotten. Heartfelt thanks to the wonderful caregivers at the residence over the past seven years. Your kindness and love were ever present. To the staff at the West Island Palliative Care, your incredible care and compassion allowed Jerry the most dignified end of life. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Tuesday, November 7 at 1:00 p.m. Burial at the Beth Zion Congregation Section, Eternal Gardens Cemetery, Beaconsfield.
