STEIN, Bertha (née Schachter) On Sunday, October 21, 2018, in her ninety-second year. Beloved wife of the late Abraham Stein. Loving mother and mother-in-law of Myra and Carey Adirim, Phillip and Cathy Stein, Rosanne Stein and Mitch Beube. Cherished Bubby of Jamey (Natasha), Tara (Dan), Lauren (Adam) and Zachary Adirim; Ryan (Amanda), Dara (Jeremy), Corey (Leah) and Kelli Stein; and Nava Beube. Proud Great-grandmother of Sami, Jayden, Ethan and Maya. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Leonard and Judith Schachter, the late Bernard Schachter, the late Norma Avers; and sister-in-law of Gertie and the late Jack Stein. Bertha will be sadly missed by her family, friends and all who knew her. The family would like to thank the Montreal Mount Sinai Palliative Care team for their compassionate care over the past several months, and a special thank you to Natasha Goodison who provided comfort and support to Bertha throughout her illness. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Wednesday, October 24 at 12 noon. Burial at the Beth Zion Congregation Section, Eternal Gardens Cemetery, Beaconsfield. Shiva at Ruby Foo's Hotel, 7655 Decarie Blvd, from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. daily.
