SCHOUELA, Gamil
1911 - 2014
Peacefully at home, surrounded by his family, on Friday, June 27, 2014, in his one hundred and third year. Beloved husband of Sheila Sasson for seventy-two years. Devoted father and father-in-law of Eliane Telio, David and Elaine, Colette and Barry Dolman, Daniel and Sonia. Cherished grandfather of Patrick and Valerie Telio, Marc and Karen Telio; Jamie and Derryn Schouela, Jeffrey Schouela; Jennifer and Anthony Sesel, Jason and Victoria Dolman, Jordan and Elizabeth Dolman, Julie Dolman; Jessica and Noah Schouela. Proud great-grandfather of Sofia, Jack, Dylan, Sam and Liv Telio; Claire and Lucy Schouela; Zoe, Maya and Brooke Sesel and Lindsay Dolman. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Cely and the late Ezekiel Schouela, Esther and the late Isaac Rawas, Sheila and the late Maurice Schouela, Edouard and Simone Schouela, and brother-in-law of Peter and the late Ginette Fryer, Renee and the late Joe Sasson, Mimi and the late Claude Habert. He will be sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews. Heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Rubin Becker, and to Gamil's many caregivers, including Uma, Lucille, Irma and Nenet, and to Flora Ramos for her many years of devotion. His family was everything to him and he impacted so many lives in a positive way. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Sunday, June 29 at 12 noon. Burial at the Beth-El Congregation Section, Eternal Gardens Cemetery, Beaconsfield. Shiva at his home.
