WAPIA, Alvin
Peacefully, after a courageous battle on Tuesday, January 22, 2013. Beloved husband and soulmate of Sylvia Saragossi. Adoring father and father-in-law of Heidi, Marni and Arin Otis, and Alex. Very special Zaidie of Jonah, and Abbi Otis. Son of the late Max and the late Sarah Wapia. Son-in-law of Lisette Saragossi. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Rita Wapia and the late Isaac Berdowski. Alvin will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, family and friends. The family would like to thank Dr. Paul Warshawsky, Dr. Julio Faria, Joanna Bailey, Moish Bronet, Roula Habchy and the exceptional staff of the Intensive Care Unit at the Jewish General Hospital for their wonderful care and compassion. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Thursday, January 24 at 1:00 p.m. Burial at the Beth El Congregation Section, Eternal Gardens Cemetery, Beaconsfield.
