COHEN, Sonnie (nee Berenbaum). On Sunday, June 23, 2002, in her ninety-sixth year, devoted wife of the late William H. Cohen. Cherished mother of Hinda and Bill Letovsky, David and Helen Cohen. Loving and treasured grandmother of Gary Taninbaum, Warren Taninbaum, Stuart Letovsky, Stanley Letovsky, Charles Letovsky, Howard Letovsky, Lawrence Cohen and Susan Cohen Fermin. Doting great-grandmother of Erica, Hannah Taninbaum, Arielle and Emma Fermin, Emily, Miles and Penelope Holland and Sasha Letovsky. Sister Amelia Rosen, the late Gussie Schnaar, the late Mary Monaker-Wise, the late Gertrude Dubitsky, the late George Berenbaum and the late Ben Berenbaum. Sister-in-law of Shirley Berenbaum, Ruth Berenbaum, Nathan Cohen, Charles Cohen and the late Mary Sofin. Caring granddaughter-in-law Loretta Taninbaum brought extra joy to her life. Sonnie enjoyed her last years at Le Waldorf. Special thanks to nurses Lynn and Barbara and also Harriet, Marylin, Mimi and Islande.
