SAMBERG, Ian. With great courage and dignity, the same way Ian lived his life day to day, he passed away on Thursday, July 12, 2007. Beloved husband of Diane Levine. Loving father of Samantha and Robert. Cherished son of Seymour and Reva. Special brother and brother-in-law of Barry and Linda Samberg, Larry and Caroline Levine, Ronny and Stephanie Levine. Adored grandson of Morris and Mania Braun, and the late Henry and Helen Samberg. Dear son-in-law of Fred and Esther Levine. Incredible Uncle to Matthew, Jordan, and Sadie. He will be greatly missed and never forgotten by his uncles, aunts, cousins, friends and all who knew him. Ian had a strong passion and love for life and this will be his legacy that will guide us all and live on forever in our memories of him. The family would like to thank Dr. Stephen Caplan and Dr. April Shamy for their care and devotion. Special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff of 7NW and 8th floor of the Segal Cancer Centre at the Jewish General Hospital. Ian always said, and we knew how fortunate he was, to be cared for by all of you who made his world tolerable and a better place and showed compassion beyond our expectations. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W. on Sunday, July 15 at 2:15 p.m. Burial at the Shaare Zion Congregation Section, Eternal Gardens Cemetery, Beaconsfield. Shiva at his home from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. daily.
