CHEIFETZ, Maurice L. Peacefully, on Sunday, March 19, 2006, in his eighty-sixth year. Beloved husband of Alice Weigensberg for almost sixty years. Loving father and father-in-law of Susan Avishai (Robert Bernstein) of Ottawa, Nathan Cheifetz and Sharna Cohen of Toronto. Cherished "Grandpa" of Ben, Ellie and Tamar Avishai; Arielle and Talia Cheifetz. Brother and brother-in-law of Rita and the late Herb Cheifetz. Brother-in-law of May and the late Samuel Gruman. Sadly mourned by his nieces, nephews, family and friends. The family thanks the staff of Le Waldorf, Tower II for their devoted care. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W. on Tuesday, March 21 at 1:00 p.m. Burial at the Shaare Zedek Congregation Section, Eternal Gardens Cemetery, Beaconsfield.
