SCHWARTZ, Dr. Fred Saul It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dr. Fred Saul Schwartz, on Wednesday, October 6, 2010. Beloved husband of Carylle Doherty. Loving and devoted father and father-in-law of Joelle and David Weber, Jennifer Faucher and Jozef Daenens. Cherished "Tata" of Gabriela and Ainhoa. Caring brother and brother-in-law of Dr. Mel Schwartz and Dr. Shirley Blaichman, Dr. Leonard and Francine Schwartz, Bryna and Ilan Rumstein. Dear uncle of Esther and Fidel Whyte, Dr. Sarah Schwartz, Dr. Joseph Schwartz, Stephanie Schwartz, Erica and Taran Katz, Joshua Schwartz, Dr. Orly Rumstein and Greg McKean, Joanne and Carl Ellis, Zev and Julie Rumstein. Great-uncle of Talia, Khalil, Nissa, Jacob, Olive, Leila, Isaiah. Dear brother-in-law of Margaret, Elizabeth, Mary Lou, Anne, Brian, Kevin, Michael, Stephen, the late Billy, the late Philip, the late Richard, the late David. Fred died following a long and courageous fight against numerous odds. He was a dedicated teacher and academic till the end. The family wishes to thank the doctors and staff of the Jewish General Hospital I.C.U. for their care and support in making him comfortable and for respecting his dignity. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Friday, October 8 at 1 p.m. Burial at the Shaare Zedek Congregation Section, Eternal Gardens Cemetery, Beaconsfield. Shiva at 95 Avondale, Beaconsfield, through Sunday evening, October 10.
