KAUFMAN, Hazel (née Geffin) Passed away peacefully, in the presence of loved ones, on Sunday, December 24, 2017. Beloved wife of the late Ben Kaufman. Devoted mother and mother-in-law of Zave and Lynda, Ann, Debbie and Dwight Smith. Cherished 'Grandma' of Aaron, Vania, Emily and Roseanna. Predeceased by her dear siblings and their spouses, Freda (Fritzie) and Jules Merson, Florence and Gaston Albright, Sarah Geffin, Helen Levine, Abe Geffin, Gerry Geffin, Shirley and Saul Feldman. Sister-in-law of Anna and the late Martin Kaufman, the late Rita and the late Howard Weiner. Loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. The family would like to express heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Golda Tradounsky, Dominique Gohier, Kathy Macdonald and other members of the Mount Sinai Hospital Palliative Home Care and regular nursing staff, and recognize both Jill Tom (Palliative Home Care) and Alice Boom (OT) of CLSC René-Cassin for their care and compassion. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Thursday, December 28 at 12:00 noon. Burial at the Shaare Zedek Congregation Section, Eternal Gardens Cemetery, Beaconsfield.
