CAPLAN, Lazarus David It is with profound sadness and heartbreak that we announce the passing of Lazarus David Caplan on Saturday, June 2, 2018. He was a dear husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. Laz was the son of Bluma z"l and Max z"l Caplan. He leaves to mourn his cherished wife and best friend of fifty-four years, Marion Harris; his children, Stephanie and Robert Pelcowitz, Andrea and Richard Grostern; and his beloved granddaughter, Sara Grostern. Devoted brother and brother-in-law of Marsha Caplan, Minnie and Israel Lipman, Ruth and Mendy Dalfen. Dear brother-in-law of Esther and Dave z"l Dalys, Toby and Nat z"l Cohen, Phyllis Lazar and Bernie Harris z"l. He will be greatly missed by his nieces, nephews, cousins, colleagues, friends and all those whose lives he touched. The family would thank Dr. Samuel Mamane and Dr. Petr Kavan for their exceptional care and compassion. He had a good run! Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Monday, June 4 at 1:00 p.m. Burial at the Shaare Zedek Congregation Section, Eternal Gardens Cemetery, Beaconsfield. Shiva at his home, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. daily. Nut free, strictly Kosher meals only, please.
