STEIN, Pearl (nee Zuker)
It is with great sadness that we announce her passing on Monday, March 30, 2015 in her 100th year. Devoted wife and best friend of the late Saul Stein. She will be sadly missed by her children and their spouses Rea and Stephen Flamer, Sheldon and Nancy Stein. Cherished grandmother of Cara Dynar (Yosef), and David Flamer; Perry (Chantelle), Jacob, Danny, and Suzie Stein. Proud great-grandmother of Noa Stein. Loving daughter of the late Sarah and the late Louis Zuker. Predeceased by her dear siblings and their spouses Mary and Harry Novolker, Butsie and Billie Sugar, Oscar and Sarah Zuker, Lina and Dave Breslow, Esther Zuker and Marie Mottashed. She will be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank her devoted caregivers Maria, Nelia, and Marilyn who all helped to make her last few years very fulfilling and happy; she appreciated you all so much. Pearl was a true inspiration to us all in the way she approached life and ageing with such a positive, gracious and happy attitude; she will be forever in our hearts. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean-Talon St. W. on Thursday, April 2 at 1:00 p.m. Burial at the Shaare Zedek Congregation Section, Eternal Gardens Cemetery, Beaconsfield. Shiva at her home on Thursday following burial, until 9:00 p.m. |
