LESK, Irvin On Tuesday, October 27, 2009, after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. Beloved husband of Lila Kronick for fifty-eight years. Loving father of Deborah, Laurie and Mark, and father-in-law of Glenda Jones and Stacia Kargman. Cherished grandfather of Benjamin and Jacob MacKinnon, and Daniel and Corey Lesk. Dear brother and brother-in-law of David and the late Lieba Lesk, and brother-in-law of Rupert and Merle Kronick, Norman and Judith Kronick, Joe and Libby Kronick, Marlene Kronick. Irvin will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews, family and friends. Sincere thanks to Dr. Lawrence Panasci and the many medical practitioners at the Segal Cancer Centre for Oncology at the JGH, who provided ongoing care over many years. Heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Harvey Chang and Dr. Golda Tradounsky, and the skilled Palliative Care teams at the Jewish General and Mount Sinai Hospitals, for their attentiveness and compassion in Irvin's last months. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Thursday, October 29 at 1 p.m. Burial at the Shaare Zedek Congregation Section, Eternal Gardens Cemetery, Beaconsfield. Shiva private.
