MEYER, Joy (née Ballon) We are deeply saddened to announce Joy's passing on Sunday, August 12, 2018, in her ninetieth year. Beloved wife of Judge Perry Meyer for sixty-six years. Adored mother and mother-in-law of Vicki Meyer and Charles Kellam, Linda Meyer, Sarah Meyer and Ariel Delouya. Treasured grandmother of Noah Meyer-Delouya and Daniel Meyer-Delouya. Joy is also mourned and cherished by her siblings and their spouses, Margot and the late David Nadien, Basil and Ruth Ballon, Judy and Norman Levy, by her sister-in-law, Heather Ballon, and by her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Sorel and Ralph Young. Predeceased by her brothers, Jonathan Ballon and Edward Ballon. Joy leaves behind her many nieces, nephews, and other family and friends whom she loved and cherished. The family would like to thank the staff at the Montreal General and Jewish General Hospitals, Place Kensington and Château Westmount for their kindness and care. Sincere gratitude to all the caregivers, family and friends for their love and support. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Tuesday, August 14 at 12:00 noon. Burial at the Dorshei Emet Reconstructionist Congregation Section, Eternal Gardens Cemetery, Beaconsfield. Shiva at Place Kensington, 4430 Sainte-Catherine St. W., 1st floor, Westmount, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. daily.
