AIGEN, Rabbi Ron
It is with heart-wrenching sadness that we inform you of the sudden death of our beloved Rabbi Ron. He passed away peacefully from a stroke, surrounded by his family on Saturday, May 7, 2016. An indescribably great sorrow fills us all. May we provide solace to Carmela, Razielle, Gila, Nadav and Jennifer, and baby Liam, and, Rabbi Ron's mother Marilyn, his brother Michael (Rachel) and sisters, Suzanne and Linda (David), with whom we share our love and deepest sympathy. And may we give comfort to one another too.
Together with Carmela, our cherished Rabbi Ron provided our community with leadership, inspiration and insight for over forty years - a remarkable journey we were all so eagerly looking forward to celebrating in June. His dedication to exploring and developing Jewish civilization in all its many facets leaves an enduring legacy. We were so immensely privileged to benefit from his warmth and wisdom.
"Who is wise? One who learns from every man...Who is honorable? One who honours his fellows." - Ben Zoma, Ethics of the Fathers, 4:1
We may feel shocked and overwhelmed with grief and disbelief, yet we are also strong and know that we can turn to one another - especially at times like this.
