PORTNOFF, Sam
Peacefully, on Saturday, March 19, 2016, in his eighty-ninth year. Beloved husband of the late Marilyn Gossack. Loving father and father-in-law of Morrie, Jeffrey and Rebecca, and Robert. Cherished Zaida of Bruce and Shari. Dear brother and brother-in-law of George and Muriel, the late Ida and the late Morris Azriel, the late Sadie and the late Alec Caplan, the late Annie and the late Irving Krochmalnek, the late Dolly and the late Robert Spevak, and brother-in-law of Marlene and the late Harvey Gossack, the late Phyllis and the late Gerry Ginsherman, Shirley and the late Irving Gossack. Sam will be sadly missed by his nieces, nephews, family and friends. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of the 6th floor at the Jewish General Hospital for their care and compassion. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Wednesday, March 23 at 11:00 a.m. Burial at the Beth Zion Congregation Section, Eternal Gardens Cemetery, Beaconsfield. Shiva at 5700 Rembrandt Ave. #801, C.S.L., from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. daily through Sunday evening. Donations in Sam's memory may be made to the charity of your choice. |
